6.NS.6a Rewrite a fraction as a decimal using division

6.RP.3c – Find a percent of a quantity as a rate per 100; solve problems involving finding the whole, given a part and the percent.

6.NS.2 – Fluently divide multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm.

Homework:

Find the decimal and percent for your table after each kick.

1. Construct a field goal using 37 cubes.

  • 5 high from the floor
  • cross bar 11 cubes wide
  • goal post 7 cubes high
  • use the remaining cubes to build the base

2. Construct 2 triangle paper footballs with interior angles adding to 180 degrees.

3.  Create a data collection sheet for the requirements below.

  • makes and attempts column from 10″,20″,30″,40″,50″
  • % column for 10″,20″,30″,40″,50″

4. Use to stats to create 3 different kinds of graphs.

5. Use graph date from above and create the same graphs using technology.
